ABOUT NEWSMAX I: Newsmax Media (or Newsmax.com; formerly NewsMax) is a publicly traded American media company that operates a news and opinion website and was founded in September 1998 by Christopher Ruddy. The website, described as right-wing, is divided into four main sections: Newsmax, Newsmax Health, Newsmax Finance, and Newsmax World, each further subdivided into various subcategories. Newsmax Media also operates a print magazine called Newsmax and the cable news channel Newsmax TV.

The Daily Beast also called it "a safe haven for personalities whose scandals have made them unwelcome at other networks or outlets," quoting legal analyst Alan Dershowitz.
